For rigpa is beyond all imagining or expression. Personally I find this topic o f considerable interest, and the reason I am explaining it is because o f the statement made by many scholars, that the four schools ofTibetan Buddhism— Sakva, Geluk, Kagyu, and Nyingma— all meet at a certain point, with the same intention. This statement has aroused controversies as well, and is the subject o f some debate. But it would seem that those scholars who say that there is this point o f identical intention where all the schools meet, are saying so bccause there ist in fact, such a point, and not just for the sake o f hearing the sound o f their own voices.
Action is Gyalwe Nyugu, that o f the bodhisattvas. One who practises in such a w ay May well attain enlightenment in this very life. And even i f not, what happiness! What joy! As for the view, Longchen Rabjam, Three words hit the vital point* First, relax and release your mind, Neither scattered, nor concentrated, without thoughts. \ Fierce, forceful and abrupt. Amazing! There is nothing there: transfixed in wonder, Struck by wonder, and yet all is transparent and clear. Fresh, pure and sudden, so beyond description: Recognize this as the pure awareness o f dharmakaya.
In that state o f dharrnakaya, devoid o f any reference or reliance whatsoever, all-penetrating, naked aware ness dwells, just as it is, as the wisdom that transcends the mind, and so it is: “ Struck by wonder, and yet all is transparently clear” . So in the gap between a previous thought and the subsequent one, it is easier to introduce the self-arising rigpa directly, and easier for it to become clear. This all-penetrating, unimpeded awareness is the key point o f inexpressible and naturally inherent wisdom, being beyond all extremes such as rising and ceasing, existing and non-existing, so beyond words and out o f reach o f mental enquiry.
