The meme has an extension into time and space, and to affect its vector, its direction, one must enter into this extension and apply some force to it. The necessary component of a meme-signal to exposure is its attractiveness or noticeableness. To carry over from exposure to infection the meme must address itself to the needs and priorities of the potential nodal host.
