He took the water dish, the heat mat, the light, and the half-full sack of aspen shavings out of the habitat. Then he lifted the habitat to the edge of the compost bin and turned it over. The old bedding fell out. Omar brushed away a few strands of bark that had gotten caught on the lid. He blew into the habitat to scatter any remaining dust. He was about to close the compost bin when he noticed something sticking out of the bedding he had just thrown away. It looked like a stick. A climbing stick?
He thought carefully before answering. “Because I’ve never taken care of a snake before. I think it would be interesting because I’m interested in snakes. I know I would learn a lot from the experience. I’ve done a lot of research online. Everything I’ve read says that corn snakes are good snakes for beginners. They have good appetites. They don’t need special diets or special habitats. They’re generally good-natured. ” He could have gone further, but a nod from the Snake Dude told him he’d given a good answer.
Corns like to move around. Balls stay put. ” said Omar. “Great. Here’s the first lesson.
