Although the mentioned problems are in the case of the simulation of adaptive systems even more difficult to solve than in the discussed cases simulations are also possible (cf. Klüver 2002). Yet for practical purposes, as the examples showed, it is frequently possible to restrict the simulation experiments to just self-organized systems.
